Navigating Company Benefits: Will My Twins Count as One or Two Children?

citedipak
I have one child from my first delivery. Now, twins were born in my second delivery. According to the employment policy, two children are to be considered for company benefits. I am now wondering if the company will consider my third child in addition to the two. This natural phenomenon occurred during my second delivery, which is quite rare.

Please advise me on why my third child may not be eligible under the company policy, and if any companies in India or abroad provide such accommodations.

Looking forward to your response.

In the case of a mediclaim policy from the company, it is stated that two children are covered under the policy along with the mother, father, and wife. The coverage amount is 7 lakhs.

Normally, twins born are covered under a mediclaim policy. Please speak to your HR department; I am sure provisions would be there. Otherwise, you can add the name of the third child to the company mediclaim policy at nominal rates.
