I'm working with one of the IT giant companies for the past 7.5+ years. At the time of joining, the notice period was 45 days. Last year, HR sent an email to the entire office stating that the notice period is revised to 90 days. I have resigned, am currently serving the notice period, and have already completed 45 days. I requested an early release, but I have not received any reply to my email.
Question About Notice Period Changes
My question is: Can a company increase the notice period of old employees without having them sign a new agreement? I am willing to pay one month's salary, but if the company still does not agree, do I have any legal options? Please advise, as I am really puzzled.
Thanks
