Cost To Company [Thread 41288]

SHIELA SHETTY
Dear Friends,
I would like to know can claim for the amount which is included in the CTC. Like e.g. I had asked for a package of 4.5lac per annum, which comes to 37500/- per month. This firm while giving an appointment letter mentioned 4.5 lac (Incl. Bonus and Leave enchasment), my take home is 30k per month, they are deducting 2 month bonus and 1 month leave from my dalary.
Now i have left that organisation. Pl tell me know whether can i claim that amount or no.
Regards,

Hai,
All depending on your terms and conditions of your appointment letter. If you could read once again appointment letter and service rules applicable to your category of employment if any in your organisation, those will be apllicable.
deduction of 2 months bonus and one month salary from your pay is all as per the clause of your appointment letter. If you find anything against the appointment letter you can always represent the matter else you can approach concerned authority under the law.

I agree with Mr. Maheswar Rao. You can fight only based on the terms of appointment.

Dear Sheela,
I am sorry to say but your company is right at their front. They have you the desired CTC.
CTC is cost to company, which means a statement of all expenditures from a company on his employee in a year.
The CTC also includes PF, GPA, Bonus, Leave encashment and PLI etc.
I did a little homework with the CTC amount and with the result I felt your company is right. The only question I want to know is "how long is your tenure with the company".
I guess, with your pay of 37500 a month, they will be deducting the following amount every month
PF: Rs. 2025 (approx with a basis that basic is 45% of the gross salary, which is normal industry standard)
Leave Encashment of 30 PLs: Rs. 3083
=37500-(3083+2025)=32392
still there is a balance of Rs. 2392, which I guess, may be the amount of bonus, PLI, medical insurance premium, income tax, FBT or anything.
Feel free to ask me anything...
I am sorry for the loss you had
warm regards,
Umesh Chaudhary
