Seeking Fresh HR Initiatives: How Do You Boost Employee Engagement in Your Company?

vvidhya_cool
Hi Folks, Being in the HR profession, I strive to make a difference in my organization by ensuring people feel valued. I am currently implementing initiatives such as sending birthday wish emails, informative emails, sharing "one word a day" with its meaning and usage in a sentence, organizing quiz contests, and facilitating "training & development." My company's workforce is 50 strong, so I am considering introducing some new practices that will make a positive impact.

Can you suggest some new HR initiatives that you follow in your organization and share employee engagement strategies too?

You can participate in various sports activities such as tambola, badminton, cricket, etc., or events like one-minute game shows, tug of war, celebrations for upcoming festivals, quiz contests, etc. If your company or budget allows, consider organizing a movie trip or a one-day picnic.

Invite Subject Matter Experts for Employee Engagement

Once a fortnight, you can invite any Subject Matter Expert (SME) to your office to give a brief one-hour talk or presentation. This can serve to motivate your employees or provide a technical speech relevant to your operations, followed by High Tea with the guest. Employees can interact with the SME during this time. This practice is not commonly done in many organizations, but you might consider implementing it, perhaps even once a month. On other days, even one of your senior staff members can give a talk on any matter of topical interest.

Just think over this...
