Lost My Experience and Relieving Letters from IBM: How Can I Get Replacements?

I have lost my experience letter and original relieving letter from IBM. I have a photocopy of the relieving letter, which only mentions the last working day. Can anyone help me with the possibility of obtaining the same documents from IBM and whom I should contact?

Hi, I am currently out of IBM, and all my teammates have moved from IBM. I'm not sure if they have any ID or contact number to be reached from outside. Can anyone please share if you know how to contact IBM HR folks? Thanks in advance.

Hi Kamal, contact one of my friends through Facebook. His name is Santhosh Nalla, and he is working at IBM. He may guide you. I wish you all the best.

You may need to file an FIR with a police station where you lost the original and obtain an extract of the FIR or an acknowledgment from the station in charge. Enclose this copy with an application and meet the official who signed the experience letter to request a duplicate of your experience letter. This will serve as proof of having lost your original. I believe this procedure will help you. This process could be followed by anyone who has lost valuable documents to obtain authentic duplicates.

All of you, please take note: nowadays, color photocopies look better than the originals themselves. So, make sure you all make color photocopies of all your originals so that you can afford to lose them without worry.

I don't think you need to worry about it. I don't know in which city you are, but if you have a branch of IBM there, go directly and complete the formalities. This is better than emailing and waiting for a response from them. You would get it instantly (if an FIR is not required). Also, take a printout of the existing ones to show them as proof.

Thank you for the response. I have contacted IBM, and they mentioned emailing a specific address. It appears to be a generic email for individuals who have separated from IBM. However, I am uncertain about the expected response time. I am currently in the USA and urgently require this information for my extension application.

Raghava, I attempted to locate the individual you mentioned, but numerous profiles are appearing, and none are associated with IBM as you described.

Thank you, everyone, for your help. I have received my original copies from IBM India Pvt Ltd. Please write an email to the separate India mail ID, and they will follow up on everything. They do have copies of the documents that they sent initially. Thanks again! Keep smiling.
