Seeking Guidance on PGHRM Assignments from SCDL Alumni: Any Tips or Advice?

Please help me. I have taken admission for the PGHRM course, but I do not know about the assignment. If anybody who has already completed this course from SCDL, please guide me and share your valuable comments.

Hello,

You can submit your assignment one month before your exams. The assignments can be submitted online through the internet from anywhere, such as a net cafe, your office, or home. The assignments consist of objective type questions where you only need to tick the correct answers. You are provided with three chances for each subject, and you must pass at least one. The passing mark is 50 out of 100. I recommend submitting all three assignments for each subject and obtaining the printed question answers for your study material.

Thank you for the detailed information. I am from Pune and work in an MNC Company as an HR & Admin professional. My CEO and my sister informed me about the PGHRM Course, so I decided to enroll at SCDL. I am a commerce graduate from Pune University.

This program has no demand at all. It is not recognized by corporates as they prefer full-time MBA.

Just as I am posting my second post, I checked the results on the SCDL website and found that I have cleared all my papers and completed my PGDHRM. You can't imagine, as in my place, Aurangabad, there is no exam center for SCDL. I used to travel to Pune in the morning to take my exams, and in one day, I used to take 2-3 papers, one after the other. I used to request the exam superintendent to allow me to continuously take 2-3 papers, and I used to complete them in about 1 hour or 1 hour 30 minutes. And that too, taking three papers after traveling for 5-6 hours, and again returning for another 5-6 hours journey. It would be better if you checked whether there is an exam center in your city or not.

Since you are working in a manufacturing unit, I also used to work in an MNC manufacturing unit. However, I left the job as I am not interested in labor laws, industrial relations, and workers. I am interested in training, recruitment, SAP, etc., all corporate areas where everyone is highly skilled and educated.

So, follow your interests. That's what I wanted to tell you.

What is SCDL and what are the subjects included in the PGDHRM course? May I know the details, please? In addition to that, is it effective for HR personnel? If anyone can answer my query since I am planning to do the course. Is it a correspondence course.

Hi Vrusha,

You need not worry too much about submitting the assignments as you can do so at any time during your course. You will have to read the books provided as you will find the answers to all your questions there. I suggest this because, although you may find many good references in the market, in order to pass the exams, you will need to use the same words/terms as mentioned in the books!!

I have completed PGDBA from SCDL. We can find a lot of SCDL Yahoo groups from where we get assignments from previous batch mates. It is always better to complete assignments before exams as you may find some questions repeated from previous assignments.

Just log on to Index and register yourself (if not already done). When you log in, you will find the assignment menu in the left pane. Click on it, select the assignment you want to submit, and complete your assignment.

Note: If you have disabled pop-ups, it will not open. You have to enable it before using. Go to Tools -> pop-up blocker for Internet Explorer.

I enrolled in the SCDL PGDHRM program in the June 2007 batch but have not yet commenced my studies, exams, or assignments. Now, I have decided to begin and complete it as soon as possible. However, I have forgotten the student center registration login and password. Kindly guide me on how to proceed as I have already registered before and cannot register again.

If you are from Pune, do visit the SCDL personally along with the ID card or send an email and talk to them over the phone. You will be given your ID with a pass.

This year, I was admitted for PGDHRM. Yesterday, I received the admission letter and login details. However, I am unable to log in through the Student Centre. I tried calling SCDL, but all the lines are busy. I also sent an email, but have not received a reply.
