1. there is no official announcement from any authority so far. And no one can issue such GO to close the office. Only thing is that if bandh is called for, then how the employees will commute is what the question. Those who are amply fuelled, will be able to attend. Others cannot attend to office. It is a call that an organization has to take.
2. Leave this holiday subject. Why you people make such a hue and cry on this petrol price hike? A lot of people 4 days back were vociferous about the recent petrol price hike. Today what happened? People are running from pillar to post to fetch petrol. Government is playing tactics of not supplying the fuel to the petrol outlets. This is intentionally done (is what my gut feeling says). Petrol manufacturing companies are ordered not to make any despatches, I think. when there is no supply, stocks get depleted in the outlets, then obviously all will be in need of petrol. For the last 3 days, I am witnessing a serpentine queues in the outlets, due to shortage of fuel. there is an artificial demand created by the government with vested interests. Today due to shortage of fuel in the outlets, you (and I and other people also) do not mind paying extra penny to purchase fuel to fill up your tank.
Till recently you were vociferous against government condemning the hike, and today you (you I mean here is a general public) changed your mindset and do not even utter anything on the petrol hike. Your aim is to collect petrol "at any cost and any means". You do not mind waiting in a long queue even at 11.30 p.m. to fill up your half of the tank.
Now, you were in hungry to collect petrol, you do not mind paying even Rs.100/- for a liter. I see a lot of cars waiting in a big queue. How the change has come? Government played a trick that people who shout at petrol price hike will automticlly will run for petrol (whatever may tbe price) if the supply is stopped (may be temporarily). By this tactics, you have forgotten the core problem and your concentration got diverted to "demand for fuel" in the market. THIS IS WHAT OUR GOVERNMENT. YOU CANNOT DO ANYTHING ON THIS. It is to fill up few multimillionnaires' cash box, Government may be joining hands with them.
It is your right to do bandh, hunger fast, etc., probably, Govt. may reduce a rupee or two, which is peanuts. Whenever there is price hike, all these political parties do bandh - they do this to project they are against this; but in reality they form part of a big network.
Therefore understand the reality. It is again an attitudinal problem of certain people with an ulterior motive and nothing else.
