I am Sagar. I work in a Pvt. Ltd. company as an HR executive. As I am a fresher, I need help in preparing leave rules. Under which act does your company fall? Is it the Shops Act or the Factories Act?

In the Shops Act, it means 12+12+12, and in the Factories Act, it will be 10+20.

Types of Leave

1. **PL (Privilege Leave):** If an employee works 240 days yearly, they are entitled to leave. A minimum of 20 PL days must be taken. PL can be carried forward to the next year.

2. **SL (Sick Leave):** If an employee works at least 3 months, they are entitled to SL. Taking one SL day is required for completing 3 months. SL is not carried forward to the next year.

3. **CL (Casual Leave):** If an employee works at least 3 months, they are entitled to CL. Taking one to three months to complete CL is required. CL is not carried forward to the next year.
