How Do You Define and Expand Communication in Employee Engagement Beyond Corporate Terms?

Reegaa
Dear All, I need guidance. Here is my narration of the query. I am a part of the Employee Engagement model, one of whose wings is "communication." We do not mean corporate communication by that as that is a larger concept. What we are referring to will encompass - one-on-one meetings, skip levels, Town halls, e-Magazine, and open house.

Queries on Communication in Employee Engagement

Now, my queries are:

1. As it cannot be called Corporate Communication, what is the right term to be used?
2. As a part of Employee Engagement, what else can be covered with respect to communication?

Awaiting your inputs.

Regards,
Reegaa

Corporate communication is a broader term. Except for one-to-one meetings, if there is any employee engagement program where there are more than one people and if it's a team of any size, then it is part of internal communications which will come under corporate communications. You can give it any fancy name you like, but that's the essence.

Corporate Communication

1. External communication
a. Commercial communication
b. Brand communication
c. Media relations
d. Public relations
e. Crisis communications

2. Internal communication/employee communication
a. Internal magazine
b. Annual day
c. Events for employees -- segment-wise, center-wise, team-wise
