Curious About Six Sigma in HR? Seeking Training Recommendations in Mumbai

kale.chaitali36@gmail.com
Hi all, I am working as an HR executive in an IT outsourcing company and want to know the use of Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma in the HR field. Is there any certified institute in Mumbai that provides training for Six Sigma? If anyone knows, please share the institute's name and contact number.

I am a certified Six Sigma Champion from STQC. The Indian Statistical Institute would be a good place; they are one of the apex colleges in India and cost-effective too. A couple of years back, the fee for the Green Belt was 5k. By the way, the scope in HR is highly limited. People who say that there is scope are simply misleading.

Dear S V S Rana, I wrote that there is a "specific usage," which means "usage is limited." Kindly avoid writing something negative, as no one is trying to mislead anyone in this forum. By the way, let me know, mislead whom? It's up to the LSS professionals to define its applicability and usage without limiting it to other domains. Regarding statistical usage, LSS can also be used in HRM.

For your kind information, there is no good or bad place for LSS training and certifications. It's all about the trainers who are capable of delivering the subject and learners who can learn and make the best use of it. Hereafter, I hope you will avoid confusing members of this forum.

With profound regards,

Extensive HR and Quality Certifications

I have attended more than 15 certifications in HR and Quality, ranging from ISO 9001, EMS 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 27001, COPC coordinator, Six Sigma Champion, IEC 17025, CE, to Certified Compensation and Benefits Manager, Certified Performance and Competence Developer, Certified Psychometric Testing Professional, and Certified Learning and Development Manager, among others.

I have 14 years of experience with leading brands like HCL, Zamil, and Cornel in the EMEA and APAC regions. I reaffirm that the scope of Six Sigma application by an HR professional is "limited."

Congratulations on attending various certification courses. Although I have not attended these courses nor acquired these certifications, I do have a certain amount of information that I have learned through experience. I mean specific usage exactly as you mentioned in your post "LIMITED." So-called "LIMITED" usage can also be productive when utilized with specific objectives. It is up to HR professionals to understand LSS strategies and their importance, as well as to what extent they can make the best use of them. I strictly believe in creativity and innovation, and I do not blindly follow anyone.

Kindly feel free to share the knowledge you have gained, as I wish to learn more from you. I hope other members also wish to learn from you. By sharing your knowledge, you can add value to this forum.

With profound regards,

Regards.

Dear Mr. Rana and Mr. Khadir, I am a diploma student in HR and am planning to prepare my project - Six Sigma in HR. I believe both your viewpoints will be beneficial to me while preparing my report.

Mr. Rana's Perspective

Mr. Rana, could you tell me why you believe the scope of Six Sigma in HR is limited? Maybe you can give me some examples of failed Six Sigma projects in HR or those that did not yield the expected results?

Mr. Khadir's Insight

Mr. Khadir, can you cite some Six Sigma projects that brought about dramatic changes in HR?

Thanks & Regards,
Reshmi
