How Can I Verify a Worker’s PF Number Online to Ensure It's Being Paid?

sureshkumaravel2005
Dear Seniors, I am working in an organization where we have manpower contractors who have their own PF & ESI numbers, and they are paying the amount monthly for PF & ESI. A worker has been working for more than 2 years under this manpower contract, and he wants to know if they are paying PF for him, so he can get the PF number from the contractor. Can we check online using this PF number to verify if it belongs to the worker? Please advise.

Thanks,
Suresh K.

Hi Suresh, take Form 3A from the contractor for the respective years. That will be valid proof. Later, he/she shall check with the PF department.

Know Your PF Claim Status

EPFO <link updated to site home>

Dear Sameer, in the PF claim status, I see the company name, but the number belonging to the worker is not showing. I think it will only show when we make a claim.

Thanks,
Suresh K.

Hi Suresh, I believe all the PF work would have been done by a consultant. If possible, approach the consultant. Otherwise, you should contact the concerned PF office so they can guide you.

No, there is no other option to check online. They are trying to do everything online and it will take another 2-3 months.

Dear Suresh, there is no chance to check online. As per my knowledge, you are working in an organization as a contractor laborer. If I am right, then you are in communication with your principal employer because the contractor is not providing all your legal documents or any other things (wages, bonus, or F & F settlement), then the principal employer is liable for that. So please contact your principal employer for that.
