Please help me design a Fellowship policy. We are planning to engage students/individuals interested in doing a Fellowship with our organization. I want to know, how do we plan a process for the same?
It will involve fellowship with us on a part-time or full-time basis within our various departments, which consist of Communication, Training, and Resource Bureau. We are yet to formulate a formal job description. This is still in the idea stage. Hope this would be helpful.
Please let us know what doing a fellowship involves. How much time and money need to be invested in gaining a fellowship? It’s a bit frustrating to extract information in bits and pieces.
Echoing Simhan, what you are suggesting is simply a capacity-building program. This is similar to what we do with fresh graduates in Saudi Arabia. We rotate them through the departments and let them settle down in the one they are best suited to handle after 2 years.
I have just read the comments above and would agree with Devraj. It should have been called "Internship" because "Fellowship" gives an impression that the program is religion-related.
