Struggling to Get My PF Number and Salary Slip: What Evidence Can I Request from My Employer?

I have been working in a Pvt Ltd company since August 2011, but I haven't received my PF number, and the company is not providing me with a monthly salary slip either. Every time I inquire about the PF number and salary slip, they give me various reasons and delay the process. Is there a specific reason behind this?

If they are deducting both the employee and employer contributions, what evidence can I request as proof? Please help me.

I reported to my HR and MD that they are only prolonging the process. Not only for me, but they are also not providing salary slips for all the employees.

Is your company newly started? How many of you are working? Have payslips not been given to any of the employees? How is your salary paid without any calculations? Please confirm.

PF Number and Form Submission

PF No. is given by the employer as the first thing, and at the time of submitting the PF monthly return, your Form 2 is also submitted to the PF office. You can ask for the receipt of Form 2.

Secondly, if your company has submitted its PF yearly return, then you can ask for your 3A form.

Dear Kumar, they started 5 years ago, and 65 employees are working, but they have not given a payslip to any of the employees. Our HR is calculating the salary for each employee. At the time of joining, they provided a CTC package as below:

SALARY BREAK UP DETAILS

- Basic (60% of Salary): 9060 PM / 108720 PA
- HRA (30% of Salary): 4530 PM / 54360 PA
- Conveyance (10%): 1510 PM / 18120 PA
- Special Allowance: 0
- Monthly Salary: 15100 PM / 181200 PA

INDIRECT BENEFIT

- P.F. (12% on Rs.6500/-): 780 / 9360
- ESI (4.75% of salary): 0
- Gratuity (4.8% of Basic): 0
- Mediclaim: 0
- Total indirect benefit: 780 / 9360
- Total Fixed Cost to the Company: 15880 / 190560
- Approved Package (CTC): 15880 / 190560

I would also like to clarify why they deduct 6500 for PF. Is there any fake information in the given package?

You have to ask for these documents from your company, not from the local PF office.

Your salary structure itself shows the PF amount. There's nothing wrong with the package. Just ask your HR people to provide your PF number, and then you can check your PF balance online.
