How to Handle PF Returns When Joining Dates and Appointment Letters Don't Match?

Dear all, I have a doubt regarding PF online returns. In the ECR (Electronic Challan cum Return), the Date of Joining (DOJ) field only mentions the month in which the contributions are made. However, I am facing an issue in my company where four members joined in March but received their appointment letters in April. Consequently, these four members were paid for two months' salaries in April.

Concern: Reflecting Accurate Date of Joining

My concern is how to accurately reflect the date of joining for PF E Returns for these four members. This discrepancy has led to the delay in processing this month's returns.

I believe you should also provide the Date of Joining (DOJ) for the month of March. This is because I have been in a similar situation before. One of my friends was given the DOJ for March, and it caused some confusion with this month's returns.
