I am working in a company where ESI is not applicable. I don't know about ESI. Can anybody please tell me about Employee State Insurance (ESI) in detail, such as its applicability, limits, etc.?
ESI is a medical benefit provided to employees of an organization where more than 20 people are employed. For a company to register with the ESI, they must pay a monthly contribution from both the employer and employee accounts. This facility is available to employees whose gross salary is less than 15,000 INR per month.
