Can My Friend Resign During Probation Without a Notice Period? Urgent Advice Needed

One of my friends is working for a good company. It has only been 3 months since he joined that company, but now, since he is not interested in the job profile, he is going to join a new company. Since he is in the probation period, what will be the notice period? In his offer letter, it has been mentioned that services can be terminated on either side without any notice.
