I am a trade apprentice in a PSU. I shall complete the said apprenticeship in June 2012 of duration one & half year. My age will be 28 years on June 2012. Earlier in that PSU upper age limit for recruitment for a post related to my apprenticeship was 32 years for which I could have competted. Suddenly that PSU has lowered the upper age limit to 26 years by an administrative order. Now I am not eligible to compete for the said post even after getting relaxation of age of one & half year as I will be 28 years on June 2012.
My question is if there are any rules guiding the upper age limit in a PSU ? Can a PSU suddenly lower the upper age limit by an administrative order?
