First of all stop assuming the stress!! It has become the tendency of employees - "assuming the stress". You keep instructing your mind giving it the explicit signal regarding stress.
I cent percent agree that today's work style is lot imbalanced and make you feel burdened, reasons are many let us not go to that point, but when it comes to stress, it is the psychology of workers or any individual for that matter, tend to create the stress with their own efforts in addition to what they already get. I know how trendy it has become these days, unless you mention that you are stressed out you feel you are losing something equal to respect, the moment you mention about your stress and work load you feel relaxed mind stops bothering you. So please, I strongly suggest you pretend very stressful and very busy and of over workload, I mention the word pretend, but for your own benefit on the other hand, do not assume and teach your mind that you are stressed out, pretending these days has become so important otherwise you will have to pay the cost for that in many ways, can't help for that, since the mentalities are subject to change. I do not know how far you could able to understand and get my point. but in simple words I say, 1) stop teaching your mind repeating the word stress (use the word as less as possible, and gradually make sure it is nil)
2) when ever you feel you mind is getting imbalanced in anyway, take a deep breath and concentrate on your breath or heart beats for a while..
3) in order to avoid the extra works, may be imposed on you at your work place, pretend that you are very stressed and you have done a lot of work, but do not pretend too much.....
4) make up your mind before entering your office that you forget all other relationship issues, concerns like family issues, any other matters good or bad, and enter your work place, this helps your mind to settle down and choose only the important ones to bring in the front row.....
5) do get refreshed, the moment you feel diversions of your mind and distractions, start refreshing your self, go have a drink, or snack, or watch something or check emails, or do anything, makes you feel good, and get back to work (not for every 5 minutes!!, but in a reasonable time...)
6) always try to keep your personal emotions away from the work related emotions..... and treat both separately.....
..................do not get in to the personal relationships at workplace as far as possible, treat all as your colleagues rather twisting your emotions and bursting with your unknown egos, complexities, blind impacts of any acts or speech, comments....... this make you feel free without any unwanted interruptions in your life style....... do not mistake this with friendship, it only means do not struggle to make friends and get disappointed at last, it happens automatically when the relationship is balanced.....
7) watch movies, play games, or in simple words do encourage your hobbies ....
........... make sure and fix your self to learn something for sure everyday, anything even how to commit a theft!!! but please never execute, learning is different, you can learn anything and everything it is knowledge, some helps in executing and utilizing other help in avoiding and cautioning........ try to make out the difference. learn, even if its a small word from any language, anything, make sure that you learning or getting something new completely for your own benefit, this majorly helps in diverting your mind towards a right-way away from stress and gives you purpose and satisfaction......... you may also try sharing your knowledge which doubles the benefit.....
8 ) "more importantly have proper food at proper time and proper sleep as far as possible at proper time".....
