Resigned in 2012: When Should I Submit Form 10C and Form 19 for PF Settlement?

sureshkumaravel2005
I resigned from the job on March 18th, 2012. I worked there for 3 months. Now, I want to know when I should submit Form 10C and Form 19. Should I submit both forms, and is there a time limit for submission?

Thanks & Regards,

Just fill out both Form 19 and Form 10C. The EPF department will send you one cheque for Form 19, and the Form 10C will be returned to you because you have less than 6 months of service. Keep Form 10C with you. If you pass away before the age of 58, your family can receive a pension for your 3 months of service from Form 10C.

You can claim the PF amount, but you cannot claim the pension amount. You must work for a minimum of 6 months. After 18th May 2012, only you can submit Form V. SUBBARAO [Phone Number Removed For Privacy Reasons].

From the date of leaving, the waiting period is 2 months. After that, you can apply for Form 19. As far as Form 10C is concerned, you are not eligible because a minimum service period of 6 months is required.

This is Sudhir. As per the question, I will tell you the correct answer. First of all, after resigning from the company, they will take the D.O.L (date of leaving) so that they can submit Form 10. It will take 45 days, and you are not eligible for Form 10C because you should work a minimum of 6 months to be eligible for the pension fund. The claim is only for employee contribution.
