Struggling with Attrition Rate Calculations? Let's Figure Out the Right Formula Together

AxitaMehta
Can anybody please help me in calculating the attrition rate? I am not able to figure out the actual formula. I tried Google as well, but there are too many formulae, and I can't make out which is the actual one.

Thanks,
Axita

Opening Balance

- No. of Employees Joined
- No. of Employees Left
- Closing Balance: Opening balance + No. of Employees Joined - No. of Employees Left
- Average Head Count: (Opening balance + Closing Balance) / 2
- Attrition Rate: (No. of Employees Left / Average Head Count) * 100

Ensure Proper Paragraph Formatting:

- Opening balance
- No. of Employees Joined
- No. of Employees Left
- Closing Balance: Opening balance + No. of Employees Joined - No. of Employees Left
- Average Head Count: (Opening balance + Closing Balance) / 2
- Attrition Rate: (No. of Employees Left / Average Head Count) * 100

Attrition Rate Calculation

Opening balance: 817
No. of Employees Joined: 35
No. of Employees Left: 19
Closing Balance: 833
Average Head Count: 825
Attrition %: 2.30

Formula:

- Opening balance (817) + No. of Employees Joined (35) - No. of Employees Left (19) = Closing Balance (833)
- (Opening balance (817) + Closing Balance (833)) / 2 = Average Head Count (825)
- (No. of Employees Left (19) / Average Head Count (825)) * 100 = Attrition % (2.30)

Now, the Attrition Rate is 2.30%.
