Interview Dilemma: How to Explain Choosing an MBA After a BSc?

ANEETHA
Hi everyone, recently, I faced a question in an interview: "Why did you join an MBA after BSc?" How should I answer this question?

Thank you.

The education in science involves analysis, deductive and inductive reasoning, and computing knowledge to understand formulas, equations, and principles. Thus, it helps a student of science to develop scientific temper, analytical skills, computing skills, and reasoning skills which are required by an MBA student to understand subjects like financial analysis, operational management, or MIS, which deal with statistical analysis involving mathematics. The analytical and reasoning skills also help in understanding human behavior for those pursuing HR.

Firstly, you have to ask yourself why you pursued an MBA after completing your BSc. What is the reason behind this decision? Once you can answer that question for yourself, try to identify the positive aspects of this choice. It will definitely help you.

Hi, I agree with what Gurmeet said. You should answer for yourself why you've chosen this stream. Certainly, you have your own goals. Express them before the interview panel. Be honest with yourself rather than looking for reasons. Definitely, it will help you. This is a piece of advice from my own experience.
