ESIC has issued a circular stating that "employers are not required to submit the hard or soft copies of Return of Contributions for March 2012."

Dear All, Please find attached the circular: "It has been decided by the Headquarters Office that for the Contribution Period ending March 2012, employers are not required to submit hard or soft copies of the Return of Contributions."

Documents Required for ESIC Audit

For the ESIC audit, the following documents need to be maintained in the file:

- C-11 copy of the establishment
- Paid challan copy from the C-11 date
- Paid RC from the C-11 date
- EC statement in the following format: month + year + employees under ESIC + EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTION + EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTION + TOTAL FIGURE
- Uncovered employees statement from the C-11 date
- If the RC or challan copy is not available, then proof of payment like a statement and cheque details
- Any previous audit documents, if available
- Inspection book
- Accident book
