Training and Development Process

The training and development process in most organizations depends on needs-based, project-based, or knowledge upgradation in terms of soft skills or leadership skills. You could identify one of the above domains. After doing that, you should draft a Training Needs Analysis within the organization, covering various departments, i.e., making a training calendar.

Then, choose one topic and one department, give a name to that topic, write down the aim and objective for that topic, outline the methods you would use for the training, specify the modules that would be used, and elaborate on the infrastructure that would be required. During training, explain what kind of assessment center you would use to gauge the training effectiveness.

Post this training, ensure the Return on Investment (ROI) is calculated for the training process. Additionally, include a refresher meeting module with the trainer and the participants in a gap of 1-3 months just to check the knowledge imparted.

Why don't you search CiteHR? You could find many training plans here itself. Also, my suggestion is to develop internet skills and extensively use Google and similar search engines to find information. You could make use of digital libraries (mostly free) too. Here is a basic outline that you can develop further:

1. Why does an organization require training?
2. Who should be trained?
3. What should be the criteria to select training participants?
4. Who will invest?
5. What could be the budget?
6. What could be the types and modes of training?
7. Training calendar and periodicity of training.
8. Who shall conduct training programs?
9. How to measure training effectiveness?
10. How to measure return on investment?
11. Who is accountable for training administration?

I hope this helps you in structuring your training plans effectively. Let me know if you need further assistance.
