Confused About Submitting PF Annual Returns for 2011-2012? Need Help Before Deadline!

rana_rahul
This is Rahul Rana again. First of all, I am truly thankful to all the seniors who have helped me out again and again. I have one confusion regarding PF annual returns submission for 2011-2012. Can I submit the return in Excel format like my previous years, i.e., Form 3A, 6A in Excel format? If not, then what is the procedure to fill it?

Kindly help me before the last date of return submission, i.e., 25th April.

Thanks & Regards,
Rahul Rana

You will need to submit your return in the Excel format used in the previous year, as you did in 2010-2011.

Please note that the last date for the submission of Annual Return 3A and 6A is 30th April instead of 25th, i.e., 30 days after the completion of the contribution period.

Thanks to all for your valuable comments. They really helped me, and I especially want to thank Mr. Gautam for his assistance. Mr. Abhay mentioned to me that we need to submit the return for the current financial year, i.e., 2011-12, using the e-return tool. I have taken printouts of Form 3A & 6A and converted the text format into a CD to hand over to the PF department. The hard copies are for our records.

I believe I need to confirm this matter with the PF department directly before updating you. In any case, thank you all.

You can submit PF annual returns for 2012-13 as you were doing earlier. Only for the next period, i.e., 2013-14, it is an online submission.

Dear Sir, In our sub-regional office, they have instructed us to submit the returns (2011-2012) generated using the e-Return Tool and submit the data in a text file (.txt) and also as a hard copy. They do not accept the regular type of returns. So, please confirm again with the concerned.
