Hi!

I have joined a new software company as an HR administrator. I have to frame HR policies and a code of conduct for the company. Could you please help me with that and tell me what are the most essential points that should be included in HR policies and a code of conduct?

Thanks,
Nahid

Hi Nahid,

I feel that one can frame policies on the following topics:

1. Salary
2. Incentives
3. Working conditions
4. Disciplinary actions that can be taken in case of a violation of the code of conduct
5. Policies pertaining to the training and development of employees
6. Charter of duties can be created

This is all from my side.

Dear Nahid,

Policies should be formed on the following topics:

- Leave Policy
- Company Car Maintenance Policy
- Retirement & Medical Benefits
- Car Plan Policy
- Employee Relocation Policy
- Uniform Policy
- Late Arrival Policy
- Phone Usage Policy
- Domestic Relocation Policy
- Computer Misuse Policy
- Standards of Solicitation
- General Office Guidelines
- Employee Referral Policy
- Long Service Award Policy
- Rewards & Recognition Policy

In each policy, frame an objective and explain the applicability of the concerned policy in a very brief but elaborate way.

Regards,
Karthik Jai

Hi, I have joined an IT firm as a Business Development Officer. My role involves marketing its software, and I am required to submit a report outlining my strategy for the job. I would appreciate receiving expert opinions on this matter. Thank you.
