Stuck on the Bench: How Can I Speed Up My Resignation Without Serving Notice?

princess121
Please help me out with the following problem.

Background of My Current Employment Situation

I have been working in a BPO for 1 year. However, I now want to resign for better career opportunities, but I don't have enough time to serve the notice period. I have been on the bench for the past 5 months. Initially, they asked me to resign earlier because our performance did not meet the client's standards. After we requested reconsideration, everything was resolved, and they mentioned redeploying us to another process. Currently, I am still on the bench, just marking my attendance and returning. Despite this, they are insisting that I serve a 1-month notice period for no apparent reason.

Seeking Advice on Expediting Resignation

I wish to resign from my current company as soon as possible as I have secured a good job. Is there a way I can expedite my resignation and bypass the notice period requirement since serving notice while on the bench seems unnecessary and disadvantageous for both the company and me? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Sir, thank you for your reply. My gross salary is Rs. 13,500 per month. When I was on the bench, I used to receive somewhere between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 11,000 after all deductions. However, when I was actively working (not on the bench), I used to get somewhere between Rs. 11,000 to Rs. 12,000 after all deductions.

I just want them to relieve me as soon as possible because I am wasting my time, and the company is wasting its money in the guise of the notice period.

Question about Leave Adjustment

One more question, will I be able to adjust my leaves against the notice period or not?

Thank you.

I also have an issue similar to yours, just different in the sense that I was not receiving my salary while I was on the bench. Am I also required to serve the notice period or pay the equivalent amount to the employer?

Thanks in advance!!
