E Return toll and E-Sewa are two different concepat for time being now.There is no direct interlink for now.But you can use the monthly wage data which you have created in E-Retrun tool for generaing challan from E-Return tool.

Please open EPFO web site

Click on the E-Sewa link

You can see ECR FILE Format,Instruction manual etc.

Regsiter your establishmente for E-Sewa.Please note that registraion for E-Retrun tool and E-Sewa are different .

Aftrer registration you will get pin no.from PF by sms

Use this nos to get open the option for password

Create passoword and username

User name should contain atlese one numeric character i.e 1,2...

Password also should contain alphabetic,special and numeric character for eg

munnabhai&123

Now for the month of March please create ECR FILE and I HAVE ALREADEY POSTED HOW TO CREATE IT.

In the web site go to menu ECR then cleack upload ECR File option

AFTER SUCCESSFULL UPLOADING of the file your challan will be genrerated as instructed.

Dear Mangesh Sir,
Thanks for reply, I already register my organization in EPFO portal E-Sewa as well as in E Return Tool version 4.0 and successfully generate challan for the month of March-12 from E-Sewa portal.
But my concerns are to all my R/Seniors:-
1. What is use of Validation For E Return software?
2. What is use of E Return Tool version 4.0 software?
3. Can we submit system generated hard copy of monthly returns (Form 5, 10 & 12A) in excel format?
4. If no, so what exactly we have to do?
5. For annual return of PF, can we prepare details (Form 3A & 6) in excel format then convert into txt file manually?

ECR file should be completely as per the format of EPFo to be submitted without any error.
To create the ECR file with the help of software you can use following package -
