How to Find a Fake Company?

Hi to all, I am a 2007 BCom CA graduate. I received an email from Arora Hotel Heathrow, London, sent by Mr. David Hooker, HR Director for the Employee Selection Team. How can I determine if this is a fake company or not?

You can find simple ways to identify a fake company:

1. No company offers a job without a resume and respective line of interviews with the candidate (minimum 3 rounds of interviews).
2. No company offers a job through random selection via email.
3. Make sure you receive an email from the respective company's email system, not from Gmail, Live, Hotmail, Yahoo.com, etc. You can even cross-check if the company email is genuine or fake by browsing.

Take care. Foreign jobs are not peanuts; they don't just come with lottery/money. Good luck.

Forget about the mail you received. I know many others who have received the same mail at different times. Satya has provided you with some helpful guidance. However, the last suggestion [‘3. make sure you receive email from respective company...’] may not provide an accurate result. There are numerous scammers and hackers with the ability to send emails that appear to be from legitimate sources. If you have a Gmail account, you would understand what I mean—Gmail alerts users when a mail may not have originated from the stated source.

I received an offer letter from "Diamond Plaster Ltd" company in Rajasthan. They have a website where they provide detailed information. However, in the offer letter, they mentioned that I am in a probationary period for one month but did not clearly specify the salary breakdown.

I am required to appoint a super stockist, but I am unsure how to proceed without any authority from the company. The HR of the company instructed me to report to the Gmail address provided, which has raised doubts in my mind. Could you please provide detailed information about the company?

Kindly check on this website if the company is registered: www.mca.gov.in. You can find the registration of private limited firms there. If there is no information available, it is likely a fake company with only a website and possibly a vague office address.

Make sure to verify the registration status of the company through the official website mentioned above to avoid dealing with fraudulent entities.
