Need Help Drafting an Employee Handbook for a Singapore Shipping Company?

shir.L
Recently, I'm assigned to revise the employee handbook, and I need a draft copy badly from this great community for reference. My organization is a shipping management company with around 200 employees. Can anyone assist me in providing a draft that can be used in Singapore?

Many thanks in advance.

You will have to prepare the handbook with particular reference to the labor laws of Singapore.

Employee Handbook Overview

The Employee Handbook will serve as a guide for employees regarding service conditions, benefits, leaves, procedures, compensation details in case of employment injury, treatment policy, wages during the treatment period, and all other benefits and disciplinary actions in case of erring workmen, etc. It will encompass A to Z details of HR Administration.

Industry-Specific HR Policies

HR Administration policies differ from industry to industry. You are required to prepare all policies and guidelines based on the Management's policies.

There are probably hundreds of handbooks posted here by members on CiteHR already. This is a subject that is repeatedly asked several times every week. Please use the Research Box at the top of every page here at CiteHR to access a wealth of information to assist you. There are enough different types of handbooks and suggestions for contents for you to pick ideas from for your handbook based on the policies, processes, procedures, and rules that exist in YOUR company. None of these things are a one-size-fits-all; you must write your manual to suit your company.
