Managing PF Transfer Between Companies and EPS Contribution Concerns

I worked at company A. After 3 years, I left and joined company B, opting for a PF transfer. The transfer papers were submitted to the PF office a few weeks ago, and I received the acknowledgment. However, the transfer is not yet completed. Now, I am leaving Company B to join company C, and the PF transfer from A is still in progress.

- What will happen in this case?
- How can I transfer my PF to company C while it is already in process?
- What will be the implications of this?
- Is there an alternate procedure to retrieve my PF money?

Hi Bhagya,

You have received acknowledgment from the PF Office, which means that it may take from 90 to 120 days to process. If you are wondering when you will get the amount or if you know the PF office number, please call and check your status. I received my PF amount within a few days, which is why I am sharing this information with you.

Once the process is initiated, you can't stop it. I believe by this time it would have transferred to Account B. Please wait for some time and try to transfer all the funds from B to C.

Anyhow, it is better to approach the PF office and check the status. If not, they will guide you. :)

Jeevarathnam, I just got to know today that the PF transfer of A to B got stuck. RPFO office requested for some information from B. Since, I have already joined new company C, what should I do now?

Company B is asking if I would like to get the transfer of both A & B together. In this reference, what is the right thing to do? Can I apply for the transfer of both A & B with new company C? Can I initiate the entire transfer process of A freshly again with new company C? Is that advisable? Please advise!

Also, I have another query. What will happen to my EPS contribution? What I understand is one can transfer PF only to the current company. What should one do to avail EPS - is there an option for transfer here too? If yes, can I apply for EPS transfer along with EPF transfer of 2 companies together with my current employer C?

My situation is exactly similar to yours. Has the PF organization allowed the transfer from A to C directly, even though it was already in process and had been rejected?
