Epf Pension Limit

we are contributing for epf on total salary ( currently around 41000), whether i will be eligible for getting pension on 8.33% of 41000 or will it be restricted to 8.33% of 6500 as earlier told.
the new epf online form also allows to choose for higher one i.e. other than 6500.
please provide with rules and suggestions for the same..

Dear Rastogi,
Kindly go through your EPS remittance details. If you contribute on actual sary, i.e in excess of ceiling limit; your pension will be calculated based on actual salary. Otherwise you will get pension on ceiling salary only.
