New ESIC Inspection Guidelines

ESIC has issued new guidelines for inspections to their offices. A detailed circular is attached herewith. The salient features are as follows:

- The effective date is 1st April 2012.
- For coverage of less than 250, inspections will be conducted once every 3 years.
- For coverage of 250 or more, inspections will be conducted once every 2 years.
- Contractor's inspection will be carried out annually.
- In addition to inspections, the inspector will engage with insured persons through a satisfaction survey.
- Verification of the "Pahachan Card."
- Addressing issues from employees.
- Addressing issues of employers.
