Thanks for the information. Also, the inspectors cannot ask the companies to pay past dues for a period beyond five years (Section 45-A amended in 2010).

Can anyone tell me if the employee contribution is 12.00%, then the employer's contribution is 13.61% due to extra administration charges (0.50 + 0.10 + 1.01)? Why, in ESIC, is the employee contribution 1.75% and the employer has to contribute 4.75%, three times more than the employee?
