Understanding EDLI: What Happens to the Insurance Claim After an Employee's Death?

Dear Seniors, I have a query about EDLI, so please help me out. After the death of an employee, does his family get the claim under EDLI? What will be the amount or percentage for the same?

I want to tell you that there are three parts in EPF. The first one is EPF (Employee Provident Fund), the second one is EPS (Employee Pension Scheme), and the third one is EDLI (Employee Deposit Linked Insurance).

According to your query, when you submit the EPF nomination form, you provide details about the family members of the employee. In the case of a married employee, the family includes the wife/husband and children. In the case of an unmarried employee, the family includes the parents.
