Hi everyone, I am confused about one thing regarding PT for new employees. We have two new employees in the month of February, and according to my company's accounts team, the PT should be 300 for them too. Therefore, please advise.
For PT deduction, the year is taken as March to February. If any employee has PT deducted throughout the year totaling Rs. 2,400, then in their case, the PT for the month of February should be Rs. 300.
Professional tax depends on area-wise calculation. Kindly inquire at your Panchayat office.
