Hello to all,
I was going through the B-School surveys conducted by various magazines. There are around 1,500 B-Schools in India. Most of them are not recognized by UGC or AICTE, i.e., they are run as private institutes. The objective of management education is to understand the different tools and techniques to manage an organization and develop knowledge, skills, and attitude towards becoming an effective manager. However, I am skeptical about how a correspondence course can provide this. I strongly believe that there should be contact classes to develop skills. There should be projects to understand and develop attitude. Although knowledge can be acquired by reading books, that is only a part of the game.
The decision is yours. I have seen many young MBAs who are either unemployed or are doing a petty job due to a lack of skills and attitude. Very few institutes provide the right platform. Hope now you can take an informed decision.
Regards,
