Effective Strategies for Employee Time Management and Attendance Monitoring in the Workplace

In my office, employees are used to going out of the office during office hours. It's difficult to control. Is there any standard procedure to manage this practice? There is a guard at the gate, but still, employees do not make entries in the register.

Entry in the register is the cheapest and the simplest process to follow. You can consider implementing biometrics in the company or purchasing a "Computer Time Management Software"; however, these are expensive measures.

Why doesn't your company provide access cards to each employee (nowadays, every big company has this)? With access cards, you can track the number of hours employees spend in the office. If an employee's hours are less than 8 or 9 (as per company rules and regulations), the company can take action against them. Simultaneously, the HR manager should send an email to every employee. If an employee is not in the office for a minimum of 8/9 hours (including lunch break or coffee break), the company has the authority to deduct their salary and take legal action. Implementing this system would make employees more responsible for their working hours and punctuality. I believe this is the best way to address these issues.

You can install a biometric attendance machine. It won't be that costly. Every time the employees go out, they have to punch before leaving. This way, you will have records of their in-out timings and can generate reports for management. Best Regards

There are dealers of these Biometric Time and Attendance monitoring systems. You can search on the net for the availability of dealers in your city.
