EPF Transfer Confusion: Will My New Account Reflect the Full 5.5 Years?

a3105c
I have one doubt regarding EPF. I moved from Company A to Company B after spending around 4 years in Company A. My previous Company A's EPF account is now 5 and a half years old (including the one and a half years when I moved to Company B, during which time that account was inactive). My new Company B's PF account is now one and a half years old. Once I transfer my EPF money from my old account to my new Company B's account, will my new Company B's PF account be considered 5 and a half years old, or will it still be considered as one and a half years old?

Don't worry, your PF amount will be transferred to the present PF account without any problem after submitting Form 13 to the PF Authority. If you have a non-active (transfer, withdrawal) account after 36 months, the PF account will become inactive, and the PF authority will not give any interest on the amount. However, it will still be transferable or available for withdrawal.

If the previous PF is transferred and clubbed with the new account, your total service will be 4 + 1.5 = 5.5 years.
