Have to get separate Main code of ESI and PF or Sub-code for the branches is enough?

RenukaMeera@gmail.com
Dear Mr/Ms.Atom,
When ESI allotting sub-code for the branches, why not we apply for sub-code for the other branches located far from Head office.
I think it will be easy to maintain statutory records, if we have sub-code. Kindly advise the procedure for the same please.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi
You should obtain sub code for ESI for every region without which employees of that region can not get their ESI benefits in the place where they are working. But it is not in the case of PF. With one main PF code, you can cover all your employees working anywhere in India. But for administrative reasons you may obtain new separate PF code for the other region. PF sub code is given within the establishment to enroll contract employees who do not have PF code of their own. You can not use it for any other region as it is in the case of ESI.

Dear Sir,
As they are regular employees of Coimbatore office, you are deputing them to work at new
office in other parts of T.N.
You can remit the P.F. and ESI in the same code of Coimbatore and submit Returns.
In case of ESI, they can opt the Dispensary services at the place where they are working.
Also consult ESI Local office Manager for this purpose.

Subject - Re: ESI and PF Sub Code
Hi
You can easily get ESI sub code for any region in India online. You can use ESI website, the same you login for generating monthly ESI challan. There is an option for obtaining ESI sub code. Key in the details you are asked for. Need not even go to ESI office. You will get the sub code allotment letter by mail within no time. But what we recived mail in menationed sub code no & password is not opens esi web page so please contact praticular sro esic office for this mattar. For EPF you can deposit the PF in the same code and for that you must make a consolidated paysheet or you must have the back up of all the paysheet of all the branches.

Dear Professionals,
In the matter of EPF you can deposit the PF in the same code except J & K. Because we are one of the MNC doing contruction work in J&K, EPF rules are totaly different for J&K EPF. This is for your information only.

Dear Renuka Ji
Though you can maintain One Code for your establishment all over india where ever they work.In that process you may deposit the PF contribution,branch/site wise under the same PF Code.
But however, if you have 20 or more employees parmanantly posted at any particular site/ branch, it would be advisable to have independent PF codes for said branch under section 2A of EPF & Misc provision Act in view to have smooth working and administratively controlled.
This will benefit your employees so posted at different sites/ branches as they will get all informations abour their contribution and PF dues very easily and your company will also feel more comfortable administratively.
