Is a Confirmation Letter Really Necessary for Employee Benefits and Job Security?

jaffarhr
I am from a service industry with a 90-member team. Many employees have not been given a confirmation letter here. I have been chasing the CEO, who has been asking, "Why do we require this letter?"

Reasons for Issuing a Confirmation Letter

1. A confirmed employee is eligible for special benefits of leave.
2. A confirmed employee has to serve a 30-day notice period.
3. It is necessary for any salary increment or designation hike.
4. ...

The CEO feels like everything is given to employees from day one (DOJ).

I would like to know, is a confirmation letter required for these aspects, or do we have other parameters to issue a confirmation letter?

The most important point is that once the confirmation letter is received, your employees will feel secure and stable, which is utmost necessary in the job. It will also help restrict labor turnover, if any. Please explain this to your boss. The parameters mentioned above are also correct.

Thank you for your advice. I have one more doubt to ask:

Employee Job Security in the Current Economic Scenario

In this current scenario (economic condition of global companies), no jobs are secure. How can an employee be confirmed or secured? I don't know if you agree with this statement or not, but this is the truth. Hope you agree with this.

Before giving you the suggestion, could you please confirm for us how you joined the organization? I mean, have you received an offer and appointment letter from your employer? If so, please let us know the clauses mentioned in the letters, such as the description of probation, confirmation, termination, and leave benefits. It is difficult to clarify without knowledge of the above points.
