Dear Indians, wake up!

The MNC company in which I was working had a very novel idea. The weekly offs were structured such that they used to give 15 Aug, 26 Jan as holidays, and these holidays used to be compensated by coming to work on any specific weekly off at any time in the whole year. So practically, they were not at all giving any leave for these two days.

In the year Jan - Dec 2007, there are only two instances where the company is giving holidays for more than 1 day continuously.

In January, a picnic is arranged for workers in which only workers go, and officers rest at home. So for officers, it's holidays of 3 continuous days in which one weekly off is included.

In November, Diwali is 7 days.
