Stuck with EPF Withdrawal Due to Unaccepted Resignation: What Should I Do Next?

duke1961
I am Sandeep Kumar. I worked in a Glucose company as a Shift Supervisor from May 13, 2010, to June 7, 2011. I resigned from my position, but my resignation was not accepted by the HR department. Now, I am attempting to withdraw my Employee Provident Fund (EPF). When I approached the HR department to get my EPF form attested, they declined, citing the non-acceptance of my resignation. Could you please advise me on what steps I should take next?

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards,
Sandeep Kumar

Did they inform you of the reasons for not accepting your resignation? Are there conditions of the notice period that you are required to comply with? Your query reflects only one side of the issue.

Steps to Ensure Resignation Acceptance and EPF Withdrawal

Keep your evidence of submitting the resignation. If HR does not accept it, send that letter via registered post with acknowledgment.

Lodging a Complaint for EPF Withdrawal

Regarding EPF withdrawal, we can lodge your complaint directly on the EPFO website at http://www.epfindia.com. Hopefully, this can promptly resolve your issue.

First of all, I want to tell you that if PF has been deducted and deposited in EPFO, then the PF accumulation is safe, and only you can use that money. If your employer is refusing to attest your PF withdrawal form, i.e., in Form No. 19 and Form No. 10C, first of all, you should get these claims attested by the Bank Manager where you have opened your SB Account in your name. Then, with all documents relating to your employment and identity along with the forms, make a written complaint before the EPF authority for necessary help. The concerned office will take care of you.

Thank you.
