One employee was appointed, and at that time, the Pay plus DA was less than ₹15,000, and he was enrolled under EPF. Subsequently, in the following years, due to increments and revisions in DA rates by the Tamil Nadu Government, his salary exceeded ₹15,000, for example, reaching ₹20,000. In this case, the employee is paying a 12% subscription, which amounts to ₹2,400. Should the management pay ₹2,400 or ₹1,800, considering the ceiling of ₹15,000? How should the ECR challan be prepared in such a case? Kindly provide suggestions in this regard.
