How to Handle Missing PG Marksheets When Hiring for a Senior Position?

ravneet.hr
Hello Seniors, I have a unique problem. During the recruitment process, we stipulated that all candidates need to have a first-class or 60% and above in their MBA. One of the candidates shortlisted for a senior position in our organization has submitted his graduation and PG details. However, in his PG degree certificate, the percentage obtained is not mentioned. Upon asking him for the details of his marks per semester or semester-wise mark sheets, he mentioned that he is unable to find them.

What is the way out as we need to close the position and would be interested in recruiting this individual? Please help.

Regards,

You may ask the candidate to apply for a duplicate mark sheet and submit it within the prescribed time frame. Alternatively, you can check it online (in case the institute has the option for that) or you may check with the institute from where the candidate has passed the degree.

Thanks,
Karima

The other way is to get a declaration from the employee with the marks that he remembers he achieved and file it. The audit will give an NCR for missing mark sheets, but it should suffice for meeting the minimum eligibility criteria.
