Volume and Temperature Relationship:
The volume of liquid chlorine increases rapidly as its temperature rises. Chlorine confined in pipelines or containers that are subjected to a rising temperature increases in volume and pressure. Please refer to the temperature-density relation for liquid chlorine in the attached file.

Liquid chlorine has a high thermal expansion rate. As the temperature rises, the volume of the tonner increases. The 80% volume level corresponds to 15 degrees Celsius. As the temperature continues to rise, the tonner approaches full capacity at 67 degrees Celsius. Beyond this point, with further increases in temperature, the tonner bulges. It is crucial to monitor the temperature and release some quantity of liquid chlorine into the system promptly. Failure to release excess pressure can lead to a dangerous explosion, posing risks to individuals and the environment. Chlorine is a respiratory hazard that can affect humans, animals, and vegetation alike.
