Hi Kushboo,
Employee Handbook
Generally, the employee handbook covers general discipline procedures of the organization, including dos and don'ts for employees, safety and security procedures, company rules, and general information related to employees. It serves as a guidebook to prevent employees from repeatedly disturbing the HR/Personnel department.
The HR manual encompasses:
- Employee development
- Planning periodic surveys on employee performance to evaluate how employees are meeting management expectations and identify discrepancies between standard and actual performance.
- Planning training schedules to address performance gaps.
It primarily focuses on:
- Training policies
- Rewards, increments, promotions, and employee development
- Identifying potential employees and nurturing their growth
On the other hand, the employee manual is given to all new employees during induction, while the HR Manual serves as an internal reference book for the HR department. It is typically not distributed to employees to avoid unexpected issues for the HR department.
The HR Manual aims to embody the company's principles of individual and company growth, remaining flexible and adapting to demanding situations to drive the organization towards excellence.
I hope this clarifies any questions, and I appreciate your understanding.
Regards,
R. Sudhakar
