Is My Former Employer's Bond Repayment Letter Valid After a Recovery Letter?

arun_abb
I signed a bond with my previous employer when I joined. I had issues with my previous employer regarding working shifts, salary increments, and transfers. I got a better opportunity after working in the previous organization. However, while quitting the job, I didn't submit any resignation letter. After two months, they sent me a recovery letter, and now, after one year, they have sent me a bond repayment letter. Is this letter valid since they sent me a recovery letter before sending the bond repayment letter?

It is better to get the issues cleared with your previous employer and obtain a clearance certificate. Without submitting a resignation and obtaining the relieving letter is an issue. Please talk to them and get the issues resolved, failing which they have every right to approach legally because the notice period is part of your appointment conditions.

Hi Arun, I wanted to ask, did you pay the amount when you received the recovery letter? I too have received a letter from my previous employer for a significant amount as I didn't serve the notice period. Will they take any legal action if I don't pay? I'm moving abroad within a couple of months.
