ESI amendment published in yesterday's newspaper in Gujarat.
As per the notification, for following scheduled employments minimum number of employees required for ESI registration has been reduced to 10.
1. Shops
2. Hotels
3. Restaurants
4. Road & Motor Transport
5. Theaters
6. News Paper Agencies
The notification further says that any organization involved in above-mentioned business and employing more than 10 employees,IRRESPECTIVE OF THE SALARY OF THE EMPLOYEES, has to get itself registered under ESIC.
Yet to confirm from the RD that what happens in cases where all 10 or more employees draw more than Rs.15000.00 per month.

i already read the news paper adds form esic but there is no other authorize notification from esi branch office/other govt dep, if u have any govt. dep the notification than pls attach thanks

Notification can be downloaded from following link. It is applicable in geographical areas which have been notified under ESI Act. As I understand, establishments employing 10 or more workers in notified geographical areas only are covered and in such units, only workers drawing salary less than Rs.15000 are covered
