How Should I Respond to a Termination Letter After Quitting Early? Seeking Career Advice

My notice period was 2 months in an IT MNC. I repeatedly and continually requested my management, for 25 days, to relieve me as I also have 35 days of EL pending. Nobody in the management listened to my request, so I finally quit after serving 30 days of notice. After a month, I received a termination letter from my employer.

Clarification Needed

There is a conflict with the two statements highlighted above; please clarify and provide more details.

- You mentioned receiving a termination letter from your employer; what does it actually say? It is important because you may need to address any pending dues, which could pose an issue in your case.

- How many months did you work with them, and did you leave without completing the notice period as per the terms and conditions of your employment letter? If I am not mistaken, this may create difficulties, especially if you need an experience letter that they may not provide.

- What was the reason behind leaving the job?

I have an excellent track record of exceeding expectations over the past 4+ years. I have already cleared my dues and received the Full and Final statement from my previous company along with the Termination letter. The only thing troubling me is the use of the word "Termination" in the experience letter sent to me via post by my employer.

Reason for Not Serving the Notice Period

The reason for not serving the notice period is due to a consultant project in Singapore with a tight schedule. I was given the choice to either take it or leave it. I tried to explain this to my current manager, but he let his ego get in the way and refused to relieve me despite having 35 days of earned leaves.

In the end, I have the Full and Final settlement letter and the Experience certificate with the word "Termination" on it. Could you please advise if this would affect my new job opportunities upon my return to India?

Thank you for your guidance.
