Left My Job Without Notice 18 Months Ago – Can I Still Claim My PF?

I was working for an organization (Call Center). I quit the organization without giving any notice, in simple words, I ran away (which was bad on my part).

It has been around 18 months since I quit. Can I get my PF if I go to the PF office? Please suggest something.

Yes, of course, you will receive your PF. To claim it, you need to reach out to your organization. The company stamp and authorized signatory stamp with a signature are required on your PF form. It's advisable to inquire with your previous organization for further assistance.

You can approach your previous employer to claim the same. In case the employer is not responding, submit the form directly to the PF department. The EPF department will take care of sending the form to the employer and getting it done.

If you worked for more than 6 months, you need to submit Form 10-C and Form 19. If you worked for less than 6 months, then you need to apply using Form 19 only.

How long did you work there? 😂 Why did you run away? You should have resigned. Hope the following will clear your doubts.

1. Provident Fund benefits
- Employer also contributes to Members PF @ 12% (10% in case of sick industrial co., any establishment having accumulated loss equal to its entire paid-up capital, and any establishment in Jute Industry, Beedi Industry, Brick Industry, Coir Industry, and Guar Gum Factories.)
- EPFO guarantees the Employer contribution and credits interest at such rates as determined by the Central Government.
- Member can withdraw from this accumulation to cater to financial exigencies in life - No need to refund unless misused
- On resignation, the member can settle the account, i.e., the member gets his PF contribution, Employer Contribution, and Interest.

In my view, if your employer is not responding, you can also withdraw PF with any gazetted officer. Your bank manager's signature is also allowed to claim your PF. If you can see clearly about this, please go to your nearest PF office and ask for Form 19 & 10C. The total procedure is also there on the forms.
